Terms and Conditions

Last updated: Nov 5, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Black Player app and the portal at blackplayer.app. By using the app or the portal you agree to them.

1. Who we are

The service is provided by [to be completed: company name], registered at [to be completed: registered address], [to be completed: company registration number] (“we”).

You can contact us at support@blackplayer.app.

2. What Black Player is

Black Player is a media player only. The app plays playlists that users add themselves, in M3U or Xtream format.

We do not provide, sell, host or recommend any playlists, channels, movies or other content. The app contains no content when installed.

The license you buy gives you the right to use the app's features on one device, not access to any content.

3. Responsibility for content

You are solely responsible for the playlists you add and the content you play. You agree to use only sources you are legally entitled to access.

Using the app to access content without the rights holders' consent is prohibited. If we receive a well-founded complaint, we may block the device concerned.

4. Device, Device ID and Device Key

On first launch the app shows a Device ID and a Device Key. You use them to sign in to the portal and manage your playlists and license.

Keep your Device Key confidential: anyone who knows it can manage your device on the portal. We are not liable for actions taken by people you shared your key with.

5. Free trial

Each new device gets a free trial of 7 days, once. Reinstalling the app does not restart the trial.

After the trial expires, playing playlists requires an active license. Your playlists stay saved on the portal.

6. Licenses and prices

We offer two license types, per device:

  • 1 year (€6.99): valid for 365 days from activation. Activating again before expiry adds to the remaining time.
  • Lifetime (€14.99): no expiry date, for as long as the service is available.

Prices shown on the portal at the time of payment apply. Payment is handled by the payment processor shown at checkout.

On iOS you can also activate through In-App Purchase, in which case Apple's terms also apply.

7. Moving your license

You can move an active paid license to another device from the portal by entering the new device's Device ID and Device Key. You can optionally move your playlists too.

After a move, the license cannot be moved again for 7 days. Free trials cannot be moved.

A license is meant for one device at a time. Repeated moves to use one license on several devices are prohibited.

8. Right of withdrawal

The license is digital content supplied immediately after payment. When activating, you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

For cases where we still offer refunds, see our Refund Policy.

9. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • try to bypass the license check or modify the app;
  • use the portal or the API automatically to guess Device Keys or to overload it;
  • resell licenses or use the service for illegal activities.

In these cases we may block the device without a refund.

10. Availability and liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running without interruptions but cannot guarantee it. We are not responsible for your providers' content sources (servers, playlists, EPG).

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license of the device concerned. We do not limit liability where the law does not allow it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the portal at least 30 days in advance. The version in force is the one published at this address.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We will first try to resolve any issue amicably at support@blackplayer.app.

As a consumer you may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) or an alternative dispute resolution body. Disputes are settled by the competent Romanian courts, without affecting your consumer rights in your country of residence.
